The best movie about US Congress ever! With Eddie Murphy

it wouldn't be as funny if it wasn't so sad...

you know, i believe that this movie represents the real situation very much. i've seen live broadcasts with Ben Bernanke testifying before the US Congress and i was simply amazed and shocked and stunned... i was sitting with my jaw hanging. i've never seen such enormous ignorance and helplessness and... well, stupidity... it was in June 2012, i believe, when Bernanke testified before the congress and most of the congressmen practically begged Ben for more QE. later in September the QE3 was introduced...

i saw that the congress 1st of all - did not want to make any decisions whatsoever to improve the economic and social conditions in the US. secondly i had the impression that they just didn't know what they could do. thirdly i believe they couldn't really do anything because they no longer make any decisions. they are simply told by corporations and banks and whatnot what to do and how to do it... and they just desired Ben's third QE. one of them said something like "go for it mr. Ben, you know what to do"... well, Ben surely knows what to do, the question is - does the congress know what it supposed to be doing?!...

i don't know how many of my readers ever watched congress in action. and we obviously don't get to see the meetings behind close doors. and this movie here is supposed to be funny - but it's not, you know... there is a much deeper meaning in it. it actually shows how things really happen, only it does so on a very small scale...

look at the way the guy gets elected - nobody even knows him before the elections are finished! when you vote for somebody - do you even know what the politician is promising you? do you know his agenda? do you know what agenda means?...

you know, this world is built on corruption and legalized theft because people never bother questioning the system. i don't even know why they bother to vote if they do not know how the system functions. the most primitive thing a voter can do is chose a side, be that democrats or republicans, and stick to it without even knowing the difference. they think the difference is great, but in reality there isn't any. it's just a show big people provide the crowd with for crowd's inspiration... and the key word here is "provide"... and the crowd act like a customer who chooses a car by its color and doesn't even the brand... that's how people elect politics.

i think it's a sad movie... and i think what congress is doing is not something they should be doing. i remember listening to NRA (which is the National Rifle Association) after the Connecticut incident. it's when a killer shot 20 kids and 8 more adults... and the NRA said the most fucked up thing - that instead of restricting the gun accessibility to the public, school guards should be assigned to guard schools with weapons. so instead of removing the guns from streets they want more guns on the streets! that's fucked up people! was the 2nd Amendment adopted so that we had a society where schools would have armed guards on duty to prevent freaks from shooting children? and what if an armed guard goes crazy and starts shooting kinds himself?! did anybody think about it? and what are going to do then? arm teachers? what if they go crazy, then what? - arm children?!? ...the gun issue in America is fucked up and the congress is not doing anything. why? because it is sponsored by organizations such as NRA to not do anything!... and it's the same shit in any other industry be it health, or environment, or oil drilling - the congress is there to protect and assure corporations' interests, not peoples...
